Crowns

Crowns, sometimes referred to as “caps,” are used to restore teeth that have a significant amount of tooth structure missing due to large fillings, decay or fracture. Crowns cover the tooth like a cap covers the head. Crowns restore the outer contours of the tooth covering the natural tooth structure providing weak tooth structure with additional support. They are constructed of metal and/or porcelain depending on the need and desire of the patient. If you are in need of a crown, we will discuss with you the different choices available and the advantages and disadvantages of each. It important that you make your decision with a complete understanding of your choices.
